Axis worked alongside Bauder who produced the BauderSolar technology for this project. We ran the conduits (which run the cables into the solar PV panels) alongside the facade of the blocks. After fitting the felt pads onto the flat roof which then clip onto plastic shoes, we then raised the Bauder PV systems via hoists and clicked them into place.

The Bauder PV system is quick to install minimising disruption for residents. It generates 290,000kWh pa (an average household uses 2,900kWh pa) resulting in lower energy bills. The nine blocks now produce almost the same amount of energy as 57 blocks elsewhere in the borough with PV systems, and will see a reduction in carbon emissions of 55,000kg pa.
