What are responsive repairs?

CLC responds to repair requests from residents, landlords, or owners.

These repairs range from routine fixes to urgent or emergency issues, restoring assets to full working condition.

Our responsive repairs service also includes voids services for vacant properties.

Emergency issues include burst pipes, faulty boilers, loss of heat, water or electricity supply

Urgent issues might include issues like the presence of damp or mould which are injurious to health if left untreated.

Routine issues include things like broken windows or taps.

Our Call Centre assesses and prioritizes repairs, with emergency teams available 24/7.

Why are responsive repairs so important?

Responsive repairs centre round resident care and resident quality of life.

They address urgent issues like leaks and broken boilers, providing reassurance and prompt action, ensuring residents feel heard and supported.

A well-handled responsive repairs programme will enhance resident satisfaction figures significantly for landlords as well as maintaining the value of their property.

As a resident, how do I book a responsive repair?

Resident care is at the heart of all our work. Throughout the repair process all our employees will be courteous and treat our residents with respect.

Residents phone CLC’s UK-based, in-house trained Call Handlers, available 24/7 on a dedicated number.

In some cases they can book online using an automated booking service and chatbot.

After our team has assessed the issue, a skilled operative is assigned to fix the problem, with full appointment tracking and communication to keep residents posted about arrival time.

Who carries out CLC’s responsive repairs?

CLC’s skilled responsive repairs professionals represent all the major trades including:

  • Carpenters
  • Decorators
  • Electricians
  • Gas operatives
  • Glaziers
  • Multi-traders
  • Painters

What is a voids programme and who does it benefit?

As part of our responsive repairs works, CLC provides repair and maintenance services for vacant social housing properties, ensuring they’re ready for re-letting.

These properties are called voids.

Our voids service might involve replacing faulty or broken assets (including kitchens and bathrooms); painting and decorating; recarpeting, cleaning and compliance (safety checks).

The programme focuses on restoring a proprty to high standards quickly (turnaround), helping landlords make it available to waiting tenants.
