Work begins on Southern Housing's Internal & External Decorations with Cleaning and Repairs Contract

CLC, part of the Axis CLC group, has secured a major long-term contract with Southern Housing to deliver Internal and External Decorations with Cleaning and Repairs across Lot 2 (West). The 14-year contract reinforces CLC’s position as a tier-one delivery partner for large-scale planned maintenance and asset preservation programmes across the South of England.

Scope of Works

CLC will deliver:

  • Pre-works surveys to all dwellings
  • External redecoration and associated pre-decorating repairs to homes and blocks
  • Internal redecoration and minor repairs to communal areas and sheltered schemes
  • Cleaning of PVC areas and washdown of block paving
  • Replacement of timber fascias and soffits with PVC

Additional repair and replacement works including:

  • Windows (uPVC and timber)
  • Fascias, soffits and barge boards
  • Roofs and rainwater goods
  • Brickwork, chimneys and repointing
  • Rendered elevations
  • Fences and gates

External Works Include

  • Preparation, painting, staining and cleaning of gutters, downpipes and pipework
  • Treatment of fascias, soffits, dormers and boxed ends
  • Decoration of timber and metal windows, doors and frames
  • Works to balconies, staircases, fire escapes and metal structures
  • Cleaning of uPVC/GRP components
  • Treatment of cladding, panels, fencing, gates and estate features

Internal Works Include

  • Preparation and decoration of communal walls, ceilings and woodwork
  • Application of fire-retardant Class B s3 d2 compliant paints
  • Anti-graffiti and pollution-resistant coatings
  • Strip and redecoration of wallpapered areas
  • Refurbishment of stairwells, corridors, lift lobbies and shared spaces
  • Decoration of communal doors, screens, boiler rooms and ancillary areas

All works will comply fully with Building Regulations, British Standards and Document B fire safety requirements.
