Risedale School work experience week at the Catterick Amey Barracks

CLC had the pleasure of participating in the Risedale School work experience week at the Catterick Amey Barracks. The week provided 11 students from Year 10 and 11 to learn about a career with Amey as well as the building maintenance and refurbishment projects that we complete for the Ministry of Defence (MOD).

The week focused on inspiring the students to consider green and sustainable careers. Amey is actively working towards the Net Zero by 2040 goal and at CLC, we are dedicated to supporting projects like this with our retrofit and decarbonisation services.

The students enjoyed their time at Amey and showed incredible promise and engagement in the activities, especially in their final presentations on how to build sustainable houses which were inspirational and innovative. The students were grateful for the experience, the guest speakers and the CLC goodies bags that we provided.

We look forward to further projects where we can make a difference and help shape the futures of young people in the communities we work in. If we are all going to reach our environmental goals, it is important to inspire our future contractors and builders to be passionate about sustainability and reducing emissions.
