CLC has started work on converting the Midwifery Led Unit at The Royal Princess Hospital to a new Priority Admissions Unit to help with the increase in hospital admissions.
Having previously provided a variety of works to Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust since 2014, CLC is excited to begin work on the creation of a Priority Admissions Unit at The Princess Royal Hospital.
The new unit will be created by converting the old Midwife Led Unit and will contain an additional 20 beds to support the anticipated increase in demand that the NHS will face in the coming months.
Works started on site in September 2020 and include demolition of walls and re-partitioning, fire sealing of new partitioning, flooring, new bathroom facilities for each room, drainage works, new doors and full redecoration.
Working in partnership with our specialist drainage and flooring contractors, we have committed to completing the works in December to ensure the Unit is ready for winter.
