We're excited to announce that we have been shortlisted for the Best Customer Impact category at the National Housing Maintenance Forum Awards in January.
The National Housing Maintenance Forum is an annual conference dedicated to the Housing Maintenance sector. It provides a platform for best practice and covers strategic issues within the industry. Run by maintenance professionals, the forum recognises success and ingenuity within the sector and awards organisation who have gone above and beyond. We’re proud to have been shortlisted for the Best Customer Impact award which acknowledges the work we have done with Southampton City Council that has directly impacted and improved the quality of life for residents.
Following a fire in a high-rise block in Southampton which resulted in fire fighter casualties, we embarked on a project with Southampton City Council to upgrade the fire safety within its high-rise blocks. By undertaking the works, we were able to provide residents with a safer environment and the knowledge that if a fire were to occur, it would be suppressed quickly and efficiently without the risk of it spreading to other rooms or flats.
The scope included fire suppression systems in all the flats, replacement fire doors in communal and residential areas, new front doors and fire stopping works in communal areas and flats. The innovative project marks the way for a safer and more fire safe scheme throughout the city and the nation.
Well done to our dedicated team of operatives and staff who have contributed to our wonderful award nomination. We look forward to attending the awards in January.
