Mental Health Awareness Week 2024

CLC has been doing their bit for Mental Health Awareness Week.

This week has been Mental Health Awareness Week which is a UK-wide campaign which promotes better mental health and aims to remove the stigma around mental health. Good mental health practices and support should always be accessible to everyone all year round, but this week acts as a brilliant reminder that help is available and that we can all do our part to support each other.

At CLC this week, we have been getting involved with fundraising activities including the Wear it Green Day where branches had a green dress down day, brought in cakes and made donations to the Mental Health Foundation. The Mental Health Foundation do incredible work in researching, developing and advocating for new and more effective ways to support and protect good mental health.

We have also taken extra time this week to make sure our colleagues are supported and that the stresses and challenges we all face are not getting too much. Staff have been encouraged to reach out to others and ask if they are doing okay, contact one of our Mental Health First Aiders if they need advice, take breaks, and get outside at lunchtime.
