CLC is currently working hard to upgrade the fire protection measures in place in Harrogate Theatre.
Our Leeds branch has started various fire protection works to the city’s renowned listed building, Harrogate Theatre, while its doors are temporarily closed due to the COVID pandemic.
Here at CLC, we are passionate about supporting the arts, especially during this difficult time, which is why our teams are excited to get Harrogate Theatre fire safety compliant for when its doors can reopen to the public.
Although the building will be closed to the general public, CLC has agreed with Harrogate Theatre to have full access to the building in order to complete the essential works safely and in-line with current COVID-19 measures.
Keeping the existing look and feel of the extraordinary, listed building is vital. Working with Gable Joinery in Chesterfield, we will recreate the fire doors with the same leaded glass while attaching a layer of fire retardant glass on top of each panel, both sides, to make it fire safety compliant.
Aside from Gable Joinery, our Leeds branch will also bring in Altplan (Ceilings & Partitions) Limited in Stoke on Trent to help assist with all partitioning and over-boarding works.
Works began on November 16, 2020 with a completion date of December 22, 2020. Works will include fire doors, fire stopping upgrades, walls, ceilings, over-boarding, cabling penetration, ventilation and fire dampers into existing ductwork.
