As part our social value programme, we recently donated our time and local resources to give Kings Road Primary School a new lease of life after their dining hall, corridors and nursery had become tired from years of inspiring young children to learn.
After many years of seeing children through the school, Kings Road Primary required some help with refurbishing it’s communal areas within the school. The decor had started to become tired and outdated, plus with a tight education budget, the school was unable to support the work themselves.
As part of our social value programme, we gave the school a helping hand and provided them with a team of decorators, who worked tirelessly throughout the Summer Holidays to provide the school with a new and inviting look without disrupting key learning time.
Matt Hilton, our Operations Director for the Midlands and North, said “We employ many local people in Manchester, and we are delighted to be able to help rejuvenate the school in recognition of it’s important role in the community.”
During the works, we worked closely with the Headmaster and Teachers to help them choose the right colour and finish of paint. The Headmaster, Darren Morgan, was incredibly pleased with the results and said “We are so pleased with the contribution made by CLC Contractors in creating an environment which will stimulate learning for pupils at the primary school for years to come.”
Following the start of the new school year, the children provided us with a handmade thank you card with lots of positive feedback and comments.
