CLC has been awarded a new 5 year contract with National Grid for the cleaning and painting of steel towers on their network.

CLC is delighted to announce another successful transmission tower contract win with National Grid. For over 37 years, our team of experienced technicians have carried out specialist cleaning and painting work for various national infrastructure clients on overhead towers, substations, railways, and highways; making us experts in the field.

National Grid (NG) is one of 14 distribution network operators in the UK and is responsible for maintaining and upgrading their electricity assets, which comprise approximately 14,200km of overhead line with over 22,000 pylons, about 690 kilometres of underground cable and over 337 substations at approximately 241 sites throughout England and Wales.

CLC Contractors Ltd recently re-tendered for the National Grid ED Framework (formerly WPD) covering the East Midlands and West Midlands regions. This project encompasses the upkeep of NGED’s equipment through comprehensive cleaning and painting of steel towers on their network for the next five years.
