How we are responding to government guidance and making our sites COVID-secure.
Service Update
Since March, we have all changed the way we live and work in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the last few months, we have had to make significant changes to our business, including the temporary closure of most of our sites and offices.
We are now slowly starting to return to a ‘new normal’ and have put in place safe working practices so that we can start delivering a safe and reliable service to our clients once again.
A guide to our new working practices
In line with the government and HSE guidance, we have risk assessed our sites and offices and implemented new working practices to make sure we are Covid-secure for the safety of our staff, operatives, and customers. We will continue to monitor and change our procedures in line with new government guidance.
Handwashing
We have provided extra handwashing and sanitising facilities for our operatives to use. Operatives will wash their hands for 20 seconds with warm water and soap before entering site, before and after breaks, when changing tasks and when leaving site. We have also provided extra hand sanitiser for vans to be used when hot water and soap is not available.
Social Distancing
We are encouraging our operatives to travel in their own vehicle and whilst on-site maintain a safe distance from others. We have also reduced the capacity of our offices to maintain safe distances.
Personal Protective Equipment
Operatives have been provided with additional PPE which includes face masks, disposable gloves, and antibacterial wipes.
Self-Isolation
We are encouraging employees that display any of the coronavirus symptoms to stay at home and self-isolate in line with government guidance.
If anyone develops symptoms on-site, they must go home immediately and notify their line manager. We have provided thermometers inside first aid boxes so that operatives can monitor their temperature.
Whilst we navigate our way through the pandemic together, we will continue to adapt our working practices in line with the current guidance to make sure the health and safety of our staff, operatives and customers remains our top priority.
