Our response to the COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak - correct as of 24th March 2020.
Whilst the circumstances around the COVID-19 outbreak are constantly changing, we have been closely monitoring the guidance provided to us by the Government and NHS over the last few weeks.
An enormous amount has already been done to ensure the safeguarding of our teams. We have implemented strict hygiene practices including:
- Washing hands and using sanitiser at all times.
- Allowing employees to work from home, where possible.
- Regularly cleaning offices and site compounds.
- Advising our employees to self-isolate if they, or any of their family members, show any symptoms of the virus.
Since the Prime Minister’s address to the country, yesterday evening, we want to assure you that the safety of our colleagues, clients, supply chain and the communities we service are our number one priority. As such, we have taken the decision to wind down operations and secure our sites over the coming days, with a view of stopping any remaining works at the end of this week.
To keep the essential services that the country requires going, we will be working with specific clients to ensure we can continue to support them. For instance, we will be working closely with the MOD, any Utility Providers and Supermarkets to provide optimised maintenance and services where they are experiencing fluctuating usage. We will maintain continuous communication, provide the latest advice and remain vigilant in our response to the outbreak.
We’d like to thank all our customers, colleagues and supply partners for their support in our decision during these unprecedented times. We would also like to assure you that in our commitment to delivering customer excellence, it is very much business as usual for much of our support staff, with systems in place to work remotely. Please continue to contact your usual CLC representative for any queries you may have.
Lastly, but not least, take care of yourselves, and each other during this time.
