We are delighted to announce that we have recently signed and pledged to the Armed Forces Covenant which supports the Armed Forces Community.
The Armed Forces Covenant is a voluntary pledge of support for the armed forces community and includes two key principles – that no member of the armed forces community should face disadvantage in the provision of public and commercial services compared to any other citizen.
By signing the pledge, we will ensure that members of the Armed Forces Community aren’t treated with any disadvantage compared to any other member of staff or person of the community. We have committed to offering support in the employment of veterans and services leavers as well as flexibility in leave for service spouses before, during or after deployment.
On signing the pledge our Director, Philip Armitage said, “We recognise the dedication and sacrifice that our Armed Service members and their families make in order to keep our country safe. By signing the pledge we hope that we can support them both during and after their honourable service.”
