To celebrate 50 successful years of business, we recently held a glamorous Spring Ball at Beaulieu Motor Museum in Hampshire for all our nationwide staff.
The night began with a drinks reception within the museum itself where Emily Brown entertained us with an hour of jazz and big band classics. This was followed by a three-course meal within the restaurant area – adorned in blue, white and gold and featured our special 50th commemorative logo. The event also saw our Executive Chairman and Director make reminiscent speeches and the Vegas Giants Showband treated us all to a brilliant set of Rat Pack and Swing music.
During the evening we held a charity raffle to help raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. Staff clutched their raffle tickets tightly as our Managing Director read out the winning numbers with prizes including an Ipad and vouchers up for grabs. In total, we raised over £2375. CLC is now matching this amount to provide the charity with a total donation of £4750. With this money, Macmillan is able to employ a nurse for 169 hours, helping those affected by cancer, and their families, with crucial medical, emotional and practical support – so thank you to everyone who bought a raffle ticket and our suppliers who donated some of the raffle prizes.
Alongside celebrating this fantastic milestone, the evening provided the perfect opportunity to mingle with other colleagues from other branches over a few drinks and a dance. A look at the last 50 years of business was also given in the form of a specially made brochure and staff were presented with a custom made pin badge as a small token of appreciation.
